Are callers to me charged?
Yes, the people who phone you are charged at a UK national rate by their current outbound calls service provider - such as BT.
Do calls or the service cost me anything?
No, not a penny, for Bronze 0870 phone numbers there are NO charges. There are no connection fees, no standing charges, and no termination fees. Any additional services such as: itemized billing, changes to targeted landline number, multi-site diverts will be charged individually once ordered through TechAdvance.

Are there service charges?
No, most business numbers will not incur any additional costs. There is a national rate 0870 number to call to administer your number. If you do not require itemised billing or other services then there is no additional cost to you.
Is there a setup fee?
There is no connection charge for bronze 0870 numbers. For silver and better numbers, a one-off £9 fee or higher, that is all you ever pay.
Are there any hidden charges?
No, none. It is a completely free service if you chose it to be.
For additional services, such as flexible routing there is a one-off setup charge of between £10 (time of day) to £200 (multisite, multiple options).
Calls you make to our administration center use an 0870 (national rate number).
Itemised billing is extra at £3 pcm.
Is there a minimum contract length?
No. You can have your 0870 phone number for as short a time as you want, no cancellation fee applies. BT have a minimum contract term of 12 months for the same service.
Will I receive any income from my 0870 number?
Unless you receive approximately 8 hours of calls a day you will not qualify. You automatically receive 1 pence per minute for calls in excess of this.
Are there line rental charges?
No, you direct the number to your existing fixed line phone number.
Are there connection charges?
No, none for 0870 national rate telephone numbers, you nominate an existing fixed line phone number for calls to be diverted to. If you decide you wish to change this number it can be done over the telephone. Once your order is placed you are sent an email with an admin number (0870) and relevent email addresses.
Can I divert to mobile?
Yes, using a BT line, you will need
- 'Call Diversion' Call BT 151 there is a small monthly fee.
- To direct: *21* (mobile number) #
- Charged at the normal carrier rate to your mobile at home or abroad

How does it work?
You register your chosen 0870 national rate phone number; the number is connected directly to an existing line. If you decide to add additional services then small charges are made to cover administration costs.
Will my National rate 0870 number change?
No, 0870 phone numbers will never change. Even in 'Big Number Changes'.

Direct To Mobiles
Please note, the connection of 0870 numbers to a UK mobile number (eg. Orange, O2, Vodaphone, T-Mobile), or an international number take longer than to a standard UK landline number. Please allow an estimated 10 working days for 0870 connection to mobile / international destination numbers.
If you have a connection charge to pay then you can opt for call back or complete a direct debit form.
*Please note that T-numbers would not recommend the publishing of any numbers until they are actually live as we cannot offer a 100% guarantee on the number selected until it is actually activated due to the logistics of provisioning non geographic numbers.

Are there any ring time delays?
No, ringing or connection times are not affected.
Can I use my 0870 number on any line?
Not any line. You do need to direct to a land line, from where you can diver to a mobile, other land line, etc. So, for 0870 national rate phone numbers, you nominate an existing fixed line phone number and calls are routed to it. Changes to this number are made by calling our call center on an 0870 national rate number.
Is it easy to move 0870 numbers to another phone line?
Yes, you will be given a contact number to call once you buy your 0870 number and should you wish to divert to another number simply let us know. No charge is made for this. If you wish to divert abroad, to email, or to a mobile phone please contact TechAdvance for details on prices.
How do I choose a 0870 free phone number?
Select a number from the list of currently available 0870 numbers, even for free 0870 numbers proceed to the Credit Card callback option and you will be called with administration details. If you decide you would like a premium number (Platinum, Gold or Silver), these numbers are available for a one-off connection charge.
Are 0870 numbers for life?
Yes, for as long as you want, or as short a time as you want, there is no cancellation fee or penalty! Simply cancel by telephone at any time.
